Corndawgs 2013

The last weekend in September, we decided to go to Corndawgs in Loganville! Its one of my favorite family traditions and we always have a blast! This year, we decided to go on Saturday morning instead of the evening. Partially because Rhyan had a soccer game that afternoon and partially because we thought it would be less crowded. We are all about fewer people :-)

We started off over at the cow ride. It was slightly thrilling this year that we I didnt have to ride with either of the kids! I've spent 4 years crammed in those tiny buckets!

Then we were off to the slides! The kids had a great time, although Mack got super frustrated with the walk up to the slide and decided to have a bit of a break down, resulting in some time away from the slides ;-)

And while Rhyan continued to enjoy the slides, Mack had his melt down on a rock, alone. That boy's emotions are out. of. control sometimes! I told Jeff that there some adults who havent learned to control their emotions so we shouldnt really expect a 2 year old to do so, but it can be super frustrating. We do our best to put him in some sort of isolation till he calms down and regains composure and then move on.

So, I tried to get one good pic of my babies. I always try :-)

One of our FAVORITE parts of the  day is the petting zoo area. They always seem to have a pregnant goat that will sit and let you pet and pet and pet her. The pregnant ones are very docile and a bit lazy

This year they had an area set up where you could pet and hold rabbits! The kids were in love!

We didnt know how Mack would do holding one so we let him pet Rhyan's for a bit!

I have to brag on my Rhyan for a second. The Lord has given her such a sweet heart! Mack was fussing and starting to cry because he wasnt holding a rabbit (he hadnt asked to hold one!) so Rhyan said "You can hold my rabbit Mack!" and started trying to give it to him! I was so proud of her for sharing and looking out for her little brother, despite the fact that he's not to the age where he does the same. She mommy's him :-)

The guy who had watched her do that told her to hang on and he would get another rabbit for her to hold. It worked out because the white one was the most docile of them all and so it was perfect that Mack got to hold him! And Rhyan loved the black one, too!

And then it was over to the chicks!

I love this pic of Rhyan and her Daddy! They are really close (he's SUCH a great Daddy!) and this is just so typical of them. She wanted to pet a chick so Jeff went to pick one up and hold it for her. I know that is something really simple but its just the kind of Daddy Jeff is. If one of his kids wants something and its a request he can help with, he does. If they want to pet a chick, he'll go chase one down and hold it. If they want him to play tag, he does. For hours! If they want to play tea party, he does. :-)

About that time, my camera battery died. Which was kinda tragic cause we still had lots to do! :-( We had not yet even been over to the kiddie area so I figured I'd break out my cell, instead.

 So you're meant to ride ON this thing. But of course Jeff told the kids to crawl in and he would swing them!

 Silly daddy... you're too big for the kiddie rides! ;-)

 Mack had a super hard time with these bouncy things and got FRUSTRATED with them. It was hard not to laugh, yall. I mean, it was pitiful but look at that. Its kind of hilarious, too. HA!

 The kids always love the kiddie zip line. This is the last year Rhyan could ride it. She's getting too big!

 Like father, like son :-)

 I feel like some important caption needs to go here. But alas, one escapes me. Hmmmmmmmmmmm.

 Here, Mack was mad because he wanted help, but not MY help. Only his daddy's help. Geesh!

 The corn pit has been hit or miss in the past. Last year Mack didnt like it but Rhyan did. This year, they both seemed to enjoy it for a bit! But Mack had no concept of other people around him so he would literally just throw himself backwards and come literally within an inch of busting his head on another kids head.  Whew.

 And OFF to the jumping pillow we went! Rhyan had a BLAST on the pillow this year! She loved it!

 Mack got frustrated with it initially but quickly warmed up and had a blast jumping and sliding and jumping!

 Our final pit stop was the pumpkin patch to check out all the pumpkins. I love  the pics we got a nice lady to take for us! We rarely ever have full family pics! (you can always click on a pic to enlarge it)

And THAT, my friends, was corndawgs 2013. We left around lunch time (it had warmed up nicely!) and grabbed some mcdonalds on the way home for naps. Once again, the kids are too young to appreciate the corn maze. One day, right?! But for now, we do what THEY like. And they liked the whole day!
