Truth

Kidzlife is a fantastic ministry at Oak Hill (our "old" church) on Wednesday night for kids! Until this year, we had not taken Rhyan to participate in mid-week services because 1.She was too young (and Mack even younger) and 2.There werent any real services for her to take part in. But she loved it this year!

Once a month they had "passport" where they had a missionary (local or global) come share about their ministry! This particular night, "Truth" the dog, was there. Truth is a BEAUTIFUL golden who has learned so many commands and is in training to be a dog that is allowed into hospitals and such to offer comfort to people.

She is still kind of a puppy, though! So obeying immediately, without hesitation (required for her training) is difficult! She has to pass one test where she has to not even sniff at some treat that she loves! Thats tough!!! Her owner shared a beautiful story, though, of how the first time Truth went through the testing, she sniffed once and that the way the test works, if they mess up one time its over (sad, i know). So they were done. But her owner shared that God spoke to her through the situation and reminded her that just as she did not love Truth any less because of her failure, God, too, loves us through our failures as well. That we all fail tests of life and that His love never waivers! BEAUTIFUL!

The kids, of course, LOVED her! They took turns petting and loving on her!

I'm not much of a dog person (i just dislike their messiness of their hair!) but I LOVED this precious dog! What a wonderful ministry!
