Vacation: Day 4 (evening)

With 3 kiddies in tow, we kind of all decided that it wasnt worth it to eat out every night. However, we werent about to be cooking dinner, either. So several nights we ordered in.

But we did want to get out one night and go to Sliders. Its literally ON the beach and we could sit outside right by this play area where the kids could play while we waited for food. It sounded perfect, right?!

The kids definitely seemed to enjoy it! But Mack (bless his heart, I feel like i'm ALWAYS talking bad about him!) was super fussy for a little while. He didnt want to do the slides. And then decided he did but he wanted help. Then, he didnt want help. Poor fella (and daddy). He didnt know WHAT he wanted! :-(

Rhyan, however, was happy as a lark! Playing in the sand with her crazy curls. Such an independent girl!

We pretty much just took turns eating. We got the kids to sit and eat for a few minutes, but Mack was getting in some new teeth and just wouldnt eat much. When he's teething, he tends to take milk like its a bottle and not hardly eat. Makes for a LONG dinner!

After dinner, just like last year, we headed out to the beach to try to get a couple of family pictures!

Rhyan is SO happy at the beach. You never have to ask her to smile... she's just full of joy! She loves it!

Mack was a MUCH happier camper when we got out towards the water. In fact, he pretty much just "jumped right in"... and got his pants wet asap ;-)
I love how Rhyan took him by the hand so he wouldnt be afraid of the waves. She's such a big helper!

Here, she's telling him to jump the waves! "Get ready, Macky! ITs coming! Get ready!"

Of course, he didnt jump. And then was pretty sad that his shorts were wet. Silly boy!
You know me... i DESPERATELY wanted ONE picture of the cousins together...

I got them all sitting... for about a second. Jason and Liz actually didnt see this happen and asked what happened and why Rhyan was crying... LOL! I think you can see why. Avery's hands were COVERED in sand and her little hand was ALL on rhyans face/eye! Rhyan is so even tempered, though. She did cry, but only after it had happened. She didnt push Avery off or tell her no at all!

When he's mad, everyone knows it. But when he's happy, he's SUCH a joy! Just always an extreme! haha!
Avery, by this point, was getting frustrated with us for not letting her just sit and play in the water. She did NOT want to take pictures and wanted to do her own thing! But I also wanted ONE good grandparent pic!

Poor Avery... but YAY that my kids were looking/smiling! haha!

See how DONE she was?! She just wanted IN the water. Fully dressed!

Grandad took the time to teach Mack how to write his name in the sand! Mack had to correct his penmanship, of course ;-)

Liz is NEVER in any pics. Nor am I. Wonder why? Cause we are the ones doing THIS!

And Jeff was SUCH a whiney-hiney that night! He ALWAYS gets annoyed by having to take pictures. It used to bother me. Now, I just dont worry about it and do it anyway :-) So he stood WAY up the beach just watching us like he was too cool to participate. LOSER! lol!
He knew it, too!  I made fun of him for being such a brat and he laughed.
Finally got Avery all clean of sand... which she was NOT happy about! Precious baby bootie!

An attempt of ONE god one with Gran!

And of course, I just wanted to get one good pic of my little family! Sure, my shorts were wet (from the ocean, peeps!) and Mack had shed his... but this is our family. The reality of our family. Imperfect. With a grumpy husband ;-) But i LOVE my family. Faults and all.

I think this was as good as it got?

What a FULL, exhausting, FUN day! Yes, the kids wore. us. out! And we barely each had half of our dinner. But we had some GREAT to go lunch the next day and a few cute pics on a BEAUTIFUL beach!
