We started the morning out with chick fil a breakfast chicken biscuits, muffins and coffee or juice... followed by CRAFTS! I pretty much hate crafting but if i have to do it, this is the way to go... not in my home where i have to clean the mess ;-) Plus, this was all laid out for us and easy
Jeff swears he tried to get Mack to help and that he wasnt interested... which i can totally believe... but i ALSO think that Jeff was ok with Mack not helping so he could create his own masterpiece! HA!
After crafts, they read a book and did a group pic with the easter bunny... my kids were so enamored!
... but Mack might have yelled out several times "bunny!!!" and been a bit loud... maybe...
I grabbed a couple of pics of Avery, who went from grumpy...
... to happy in about .05 seconds ;-)
We had a GREAT time and it was such a fun way to build up for Easter. We actually dont "do" the easter bunny around here... we like to really keep Easter as a straight up biblical day and not mix in secular stuff. But we are TOTALLY ok w/ the kids understanding that other people believe in the easter bunny and having fun pretending that he's real! We havent had a straight forward conversation with Rhyan and straight up said "the Easter bunny is pretend" and we do give them easter baskets... but we just are kind of not concerned with talking up the bunny part. We dont really say much of anything at this point but our plan is to just be open about the fact that we give them their baskets and its fine with us if they like to pretend that we are the easter bunny, but that the whole point is to celebrate that we can have a relationship with God because of Jesus' life, death and resurrection!
