Christmas Day

SANTA CAME!!! And boy, the kids must have been good :-)

Rhyan asked for one thing... "a dollhouse. pink. okay?"
Man, i love this girl!

...Rhyan used some of her Christmas stickers on my mouth. Guess she thinks I talk a lot?
After spending the morning together as a little family of 4, we headed over to Gran and Grandad's house for Christmas dinner and gifts. And we had a surprise guest... Aunt Gaye!!!
Rhyan and Mack seriously get loaded with gifts at Christmas. They are some lucky kids. Between my family and Jeff's, our house looked like geoffrey the giraffe vomited in our living room! But they loved ALL of their gifts and play with them/wear them often :-)
Rhyan loves her uncle Jason! (why didnt I get a pic with Liz?!)

Rhyan is really loving some Thomas here lately. Which makes her daddy happy. I dont know who enjoys playing with the train set more? Its definitely a bonding experience for them!
Rhyan LOVED this huge babydoll set from Uncle Jason and Aunt Liz! She plays with it a ton!
We gave Ronni and Andy a copy of our blog book (minus the Mckinnon adventures) and I think she liked it :-)

This just might have been Rhyan's favorite gift of the night. That girl LOVES her some cookies!

What a wonderful, wonderful Christmas.
I hate to even type this because its totally NOT about me, but Hallie's short life and finding out she had passed away Christmas Eve made Christmas was very sobering for me this year. I think of how the Lord used her and Katie and Chris to begin a work in my heart and I can honestly say that Christmas 2011 was one of the most fulfilling yet. I dont have a great memory of all the gift giving (and hello, i only asked for and got one gift from Jeff... so it was NOT all about the gifts for me this year), but I have a great memory of thinking, "wow, God is doing some great things." and being grateful to share in His plan in some small way.

I hope your Christmas and the end of 2011 was as sweet for you as ours was.
