Christmas Eve Morning/Afternoon

Christmas is so very busy. There are so many people we have get togethers with and of course, there's SANTA! So in trying to decide how to fit in Mommie's house, Mama's gift exchange, santa, the ford family and our own special family time, we decided to do our gift exchange on Christmas eve morning.

We also decided this year to do two gifts a piece for the kids from us. They get so much from Santa, they dont needs tons from us!

So Christmas eve morning, after Rhyan and I prepared the pumpkin chocolate chip muffins (yum!), we opened gifts (while the muffins cooked).

I'm so very sad b/c in my brilliance, I had decided to use a different memory card for Christmas. But what I didnt realize is that the memory card had very little memory. So it was full after about 6 pictures. And then i proceeded to lose it :-( I tried to find it and even vowed to not post until i did, but that may never happen. So here it is, anyways.


The kids bought Daddy a shirt reflecting his new favorite pasttime... old NES games that he can play on his computer :-) And Mrs Clause gave him 4 pairs of shoes. All of which he specifically asked for, but 2 of which he took back?!Rhyan was the helper of opening ALL gifts. Hers, Macks, Daddys, Mine... She opened them all!
We gave Rhyan a pink apron with her name embroidered and a pink kids laptop. She was a happy girl! We gave mack a teether. I think its adorable but he wont have anything to do with it! Its a cow and you bite the utters and it vibrates.

When i type it out like that it sounds a little pervy :-)

And Jeff gave me a gift cert for a mani/pedi. It's seriously the only thing I asked for. I'm also getting a bike, but i'm taking my time picking it out. I want a beach cruiser with a big ole seat for my bootie and some good speeds that I can use.

We all enjoyed a few minutes together and then got down to eating some fresh, yummy muffins!

I had 2 great coupons to use at babies r us for a carseat and I knew that Andy and Ronni were giving Mack gift certificates for a carseat so even thought i didnt really want to, Rhyan, my Mom and I headed out to grab a carseat at a great deal :-) We saved so much! We got a $179 carseat and used a 20% off coupon AND a $20 off $100 or more coupon. Yipee!

When we got back, both kids napped and we got things ready to go for Christmas eve at Mommie's house. I was able to talk mama into doing our gift exchange at mommie's house this year instead of two separate places (thank you, mama!).

Funny thing... we have always said that Rhyan has "crazy hair", but this particular day, it was crazier than EVER when she got up from nap!

She looks just as surprised as we were about her hair :-)

Of course, the best toy of the day (regardless of how many we may have given her!) is the BOX the carseat came in! Wouldnt you know it. I wanted a pic of me w/ my kiddies. This is what I got!


Like I said, we were getting ready to go to Mommie's and Mack was about to get a bath when we snapped these pics. Hence, the naked bootie :-)
