Valentines 2012

We had a lovely little valentines this year. Jeff and i agreed ahead of time to skip the formalities. We're not really very romantic people, anyways. And while in baseball season and with the craziness of our lives right now, we really didnt want to do the shopping for one another. We dont have the energy for it! HA!

So, after work on Tuesday, I took the kids to visit with Mommie for a few minutes. She had bought Mack a mickey mouse stuffed animal and Rhyan a Minnie. So cute! They both loved their gift, although its quite likely that mack found the envelope and card to be more exciting :-)

After dinner, I had told Rhyan that we would make some cookies. But 1st, Mack needed a bath. I've been loving giving him a bath in our sink lately. Its so easy! And he loves it! Although he's pretty much all hands and grabs everything around him!

And its all fun and games until someone falls down in the water a little bit :-)Rhyan and Mack also got cards (in the mail!) from their Gran and Grandad. Rhyan looooves to get mail!

And she especially loves when the mail she gets has special surprises in it! After Mack was in bed, Rhyan and I made some cookies. They were a little messy, but fun!

We didnt give gifts to the kids this year. They have everything already. I prefer to try to do something special (like making cookies) to celebrate a day instead of giving a gift at this age.

We had a very busy, exhausting, fun day. I was glad to get to spend a little time with each of my babies and *hope* to get a date night w/ their daddy here in the not so distant future :-)
